Packing

With the day of travel fast approaching (8:40AM Monday morning), and with all my shopping finally complete, I've begun packing in earnest. Not being known as one to pack lightly, I'm having quite the time. The notion that I must fit everything I need into just two suitcases is a bit unsettling, to say the least.

I am known as the worst packer in my family, always bringing much more than necessary. To make matters worse, I am constantly reminded of such by my teenage sister, who in contradiction to stereotypes packs next to nothing. I gathered up a "rough draft" of sorts of all the clothes I thought I might bring, but it appeared to be just a bit much.



Oh, and that doesn't include shoes...



But before you accuse me of packing more shoes than a girl, let me make my case. In the above, you see soccer shoes, basketball shoes, running shoes, indoor soccer shoes, all weather boots, dress shoes, and so on. It's not as if I'm packing 12 pairs of pumps.

Even to me it was soon obvious that I had to cut down, and though it wasn't easy, I was able to cut more than half of the items in the above pictures. I now have a more respectable amount of clothes and shoes, lets just hope it all fits.
